ENGLISH - Borough Market – the original trend in farmers’ markets

Anyone visiting London is advised to stop by Borough Market (London Bridge tube station – opened from Wednesday to Saturday). Created in the 11th Century the market was established around the Thames área so traders could come and Exchange their products. In 1755 the Parliament shut the market but a group of residents managed to open it again.

When wondering around Borough Market you will have the chance to not only find yourself amazed with the quantity of food products available but also curious on how they were made and where. Cheeses from all over the world, cured in red, white wine; greek olive oil with italian truffles, local produced tomato relishes and many other items to delight us!! Don`t dare to leave without tasting the amazing bakery products there or the duck sandwhich.

As for my biggest recommendation is to go early and hungry. The endless samples they offer will make you not only filled, but also curious for more world food experiences!!

Qualquer um visitando Londres deveria dar uma passada no Borough Market (London Bridge tube station – aberto de quarta a sábado). Criado no século XI o mercado foi construído na área do Rio Tâmisa para que os comerciantes pudessem trocar seus produtos com facilidade. Em 1755 o Parlamento fechou o mercado mas um grupo de residentes lutou para sua reabertura.

Quando estiver caminhando pelo Borough Market você terá a chance não apenas de se maravilhar com a quantidade de produtos disponíveis, mas poderá entender melhor como eles são produzidos e de onde eles vêm. Queijos de todos os lugares do mundo, vinhos tinto e branco, azeites gregos com trufas italianas, tomates produzidos localmente e muitos outros itens para nos deliciar!! Não se atreva a ir embora antes de provar os produtos da padaria do mercado ou o sanduiche de pato.

Minha principal recomendação é chegar cedo e com fome. As provas sem fim oferecidas pelos comerciantes não apenas matarão sua fome, mas também te deixarão mais curioso para mais experiências culinárias internacionais.
